HIKING FEET BRAND REVIEWS
Reviews of the best hiking footwear brands from a certified brand expert
Learn more about the best hiking boot brands and hiking shoe brands with Hiking Feet's brand reviews. As an outdoor industry professional, I'm a certified brand expert for many of the best brands. (This means I've completed brand training and passed tests on a brand's technologies and latest line of hiking footwear.) Plus, I've hiked 17,000 miles the past 15 years, personally testing hiking footwear from adidas TERREX, Altra, Asolo, Astral, Bedrock, Danner, Chaco, HOKA, KEEN, La Sportiva, Lems, LOWA, Mammut, Meindl, Merrell, Notiv8, Oboz, On, Salewa, Salomon, Scarpa, Tecnica, Teva, Topo Athletic, Vasque—and a few more brands that I'm probably forgetting.
With all my outdoor industry training and personal hiking experience, I know how most brands fit. I also know their pros and cons and how they stack up. Each brand review provides a quick overview of the brand, its best selling points, fitting tips, and recommendations for its best hiking boots, hiking shoes, and/or trail running shoes for hiking.
My goal is to help you find the brand that best fits your feet and best matches the trails you hike.

I've also included brand reviews for Merrell—a popular budget brand—and Vasque, a great brand that went out of business (but still has a few boots and shoes available online). I've personally sold each of these brands when I was a Gearhead at Backcountry and footwear manager at Appalachian Outdoors. In most cases, I've personally hiked in at least three different boots and shoes from a brand before I review it on Hiking Feet.

The Salomon X Ultra has been one of the world's best hiking shoes and lightweight hiking boots for more than a decade.
